I’m a 4th-year student at Breda University of Applied Sciences as a Game Designer. During my study, I have found my passion in the technical side of game design. I love creating, improving and learning about different systems and how I can make these fun and engaging to players

While studying I worked on various different projects ranging from a board game to racing games to my latest project a first-person survival game.

Dutch Ministry of Defense - Unannounced Project

Roles: Technical Designer - Internship

Started: September 2023

Responsibilities:

Technical Designer

  • Assist making core features within the project (cannot go into detail due to NDA)

  • Create, prototype and implement UI and UX
    (cannot go into detail due to NDA)

The Archipelago Promise

Roles: Technical Designer / Feature Team Lead / QA Lead

Duration: 40 weeks (2022-2023 - 3rd-year project)

Genre: First Person Survival Game

Responsibilities:

Technical Designer

  • Designing and prototyping many of the core systems in the game like; the interaction system, the resource system and the crafting system to name a few.

  • Implementing these core systems into the project
  • Polishing these systems so they remain bug-free

  • Designing and balancing the resources and crafting

  • Creation and updating of a gym level with all resources and crafting systems for testing purpose
  • Design and implementation of the tutorial using a programmer-created tool

Tropical Trouble

Roles: Technical Designer

Duration: 16 weeks (2021- 2rd-year project)

Genre: Racing game

Platforms: PC

Engine: Unreal Engine 4

Responsibilities:

Technical Designer

  • Designing, prototyping and implementing the Time Trail and racing game modes

  • Implementing the Race Starts

  • Balancing Player VS AI racing

  • Designing and balancing the resources and crafting

  • Testing for bugs and solving them within the game mode and around it

  • Creating the Design for the players car

Duration: 8 weeks (2020 - 1st-year project)

Adira: Archer Princess

Roles: UI/UX Designer

Duration: 16 weeks (2022-2023 - 3rd year project)

UI/UX Designer

  • Designing, prototyping and implementation of the Main Menu

  • UI functionality
  • Testing and polishing of all UI/UX functionality within the project
